But evidence is mounting that age-apartheid compounds are increasingly becoming soft crime targets and the care sector is trashing its reputation by doing nothing to effectively counter the growing threat:

387: A second woman has been charged as part of a police probe into claims of physical abuse at a skilled nursing home.

Three staff members were suspended last month after a whistleblower raised concerns.

A 60-year-old woman was then charged with assault following alleged attacks on a man and a woman in their 80s.

Now a 43-year-old woman has also been charged with assaulting the same two victims…
