Developer to build seniors housing artist space at school

Abstract-Art-Painting-Opus-Pokus1HOUSTON: Two years after a deal fell through, a private developer has come forward to develop a community school site.

The developer proposes 40 residential units on the site, 20 of which are unrestricted loft-style units, seven are affordable units, eight are below market price live-work artist units, and 12 are senior units.

The developer also proposes 11 or more commercial units, three retail units, two service-oriented units, one restaurant unit, five collaborative campus/ maker units, and one artists’ hall unit.
