Age care compounds becoming soft crime targets

But evidence is mounting that age-apartheid compounds are increasingly becoming soft crime targets and the care sector is trashing its reputation by doing nothing to effectively counter the growing threat:

266: A carer who plundered her dementia-suffering victim’s bank account, spending the cash on wine and holidays, has been spared an immediate prison sentence.

The carer has admitted a charge of fraud during a period in 2012 and was sentenced to 10 months jail, suspended for 18 months. She still faces further investigation…
