Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

NEW YORK: The six hundred and thirty-ninth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards for 2015 has been received.

The terraces at Griffin Park would be replaced by terraces of a very different kind under the latest plans for the site of Brentford FC’s current stadium.

A total of 75 homes, mostly two-storey terraced buildings, are proposed for the site in Braemar Road once the club moves to its new ground in Lionel Road South.

The club already has outline planning permission for the development of the Griffin Park site, which was first approved back in 2005.

But Prime Place, a subsidiary of the building firm Willmott Dixon, has now submitted a detailed ‘reserved matters’ planning application to Hounslow Council for 75 town houses.

The vast majority of the new buildings would be three or four-bedroom multigenerational homes with gardens and there would be an 800sq-m public space at the centre, including a memorial garden and a playground…
