NEW YORK: The six hundred and thirty-third entry for the seniors housing Global Awards for 2015 has been received.
A developer whose plans for a new assisted-living facility were rejected by the borough’s Zoning Board of Adjustment this month is unsure if it plans to appeal the board’s decision in court.
Robert Podvey, attorney for applicant Formation-Shelbourne Senior Living Services, said he was “very disappointed” after the site plan for the proposed 79-unit, 94-bed facility on 3½ acres off Wyckoff Avenue was rejected by the board at a July 8 hearing. But the applicant, which he noted still “wants to develop this property,” does have options available.
The award entry has been rejected.
