Charity repurposes dilapidated units for homeless

Park_BenchCOLUMBUS: It comes as figures show the number of seniors in emergency accommodation has more than doubled in a year.

A charity has renovated some dilapidated apartments using joint-partnership funding.

The homelessness charity said the five one-bedroom and one studio apartments will provide “a first home” to six seniors who have, until now, been on the social housing homeless list.
