NEW YORK: The six hundred and first entry for the seniors housing Global Awards for 2015 has been received.
The $60 million project is a partnership between the Richmond Kiwanis Senior Citizens Housing Society ($21 million), the City of Richmond ($20.8 million), and the provincial government ($19.7).
The doors opened on 296 affordable housing units for seniors today as Kiwanis Towers started welcoming new residents.
The two 15-storey towers are located on Gollner Avenue, off Minoru Boulevard near Westminster Highway. Amenties include a air salon, games room, meeting area and fitness room.
Kiwanis Towers resident Abdul Premji called the new development “heaven on earth.”
