Court case is harbinger of what care sector faces over next 20 years

NEW YORK: A governmental agency has lost a legal fight to strike out a man’s compensation claim for allegedly being forcibly removed from his father in the 1950s.

A witness described “tears streaming from their eyes” as the plaintiff, then nine, and his sister were put into a car.

The widower father made requests to see his children before later taking his own life.

The care sector is accumulating a store of future claims with its practices of enforced transportation, aged warehousing, physical restraint, deprivation of liberty, chemical coshing and refusal to provide continuous education for staff…
