But evidence is mounting that age-apartheid compounds are increasingly becoming soft crime targets and the care sector is trashing its reputation by doing nothing to effectively counter the growing threat:

193. Health and safety failings by a leading electricity and gas supplier meant a pensioner plunged into a hole and broke her leg.

A service company has been fined after it admitted failing to provide suitable measures to protect the pensioner from severe injury on August 29, 2013.
