NEW YORK: The five hundred and thirty-ninth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards for 2015 has been received.
Plans for a 48-bed skilled nursing home and 100 assisted living apartments in Aughton are entered in the Concept category.
English Villages is preparing to submit the planning application, which also provides extensive communal facilities including a new shop and wellness center on the site next to the village hall and close to the village center.
The development will provide a wide range of daycare options for older people, including a restaurant, cafe, library and craft room. There will also be a treatment room for visiting GPs.
A wellness centre with gym, jacuzzi and steam room will form an important part of the development.
