WASHINGTON D.C.: A “micro village” development will offer young families entry into the real estate market – if they are willing to squeeze into tiny houses on 82 sqm blocks.
The project, named Envi, will also feature one and two-bedroom houses on 60sq m lots for as little as $232,000.
“The houses will cater for a diverse range of buyers,” said town planner Amy Degenhart, who is heading the project alongside architect Nicole Willis.
Ms. Willis said although the lots were small, the houses were designed to be spacious and trendy.
“There is more thought in design per square meter in these homes than anything else we’ve ever done,” she said…
